FAQ's

What is CBD?

CBD (or cannabidiol) is one of over 85 cannabinoids found in cannabis. CBD has significant benefits, but does not make people feel “stoned” and can actually counteract the psychoactivity of THC. CBD is present in more significant quantities in hemp than it is marijuana.

Can I still buy CBD products in states where Medical Marijuana is not legal?

CANWORx’s hemp is grown and extracted under the strict guidelines of the Kentucky Department of Agricultural Industrial Hemp Pilot Program. We are able to sell in all 50 states and internationally, without any risk.

Will CBD get me high?

The short answer is no. – Our CBD is THC-Free and is produced to be non-psychoactive.

Will using CBD cause someone to fail a drug test?

Drug tests are designed to test for THC, not CBD. CANWORx’s CBD oil contains zero THC, and will not result in a failed drug test. There are, however, other CBD products that may contain a small amount of THC, which could register on a drug test. Its very important to check with the manufacturer of any CBD product you are considering using to understand the amount of THC in it.

What is the endocannabinoid system (ECS)?

The endocannabinoid system plays several important roles in each and every human's body. The system was first discovered by scientists trying to understand the effects of cannabis, for this reason it was named the endocannabinoid system.

Endo means endogenous, meaning "within the body". Cannabinoid refers to the chemical messengers that activate the endocannabinoid system.

The endocannabinoid system plays a part in regulating many basic functions of the body, such as:
  • Cardiovascular function
  • Appetite
  • Mood
  • Pain
  • Digestion
  • Sleep
  • Inflammation
  • Metabolism
  • and many more
The endocannabinoid system has two receptors: CB1 and CB2. Each receptor responds to different cannabinoids, but some cannabinoids can interact with both.

Why is it important that CBD products are made from hemp sourced from Kentucky?

Growing hemp under the Kentucky Hemp Pilot Program is compliant with Section 7606 of the 2014 Farm Bill. This has legal significance and is the reason our products may be sold in all 50 states. In addition, Kentucky’s soil and environment is perfect for growing high-quality, CBD-rich hemp.

What kind of testing is done on your products?

Third-party lab testing is performed regularly on batches of our ingredients to measure purity and to ensure that unwanted contaminants like microbial parasites and pesticides are not present.
